When I tell people that I am a freelance translator and interpreter, the reactions I get tell me that most of them have no idea what this profession entails – or that it even is an actual profession, for which you ideally have gone through some kind of schooling?!<\/p>\n

The folks at eazylang<\/a> wrote a nice little post about the five most common misconceptions about translation<\/a>, which I’d like to share with you. They are:<\/p>\n

    \nbilingual is enough to be a translator<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Translation
    \nis done word-for-word<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Being a
    \ntranslator is easy<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Translating

    \ntranslations are enough to reach a universal public<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
