On Wednesday night, a momentous occasion took place in the lovely \u00abDie Villa\u00bb restaurant in Weiden – the founding meeting of a new BD\u00dc regional group in Bavaria.
\nTwo of my students (Carolin Schiml, who finished last year, and Adriana Hirsch, who is in the middle of her examinations) found it exhausting always having to drive the long way to the nearest BD\u00dc groups in either Regensburg or Bayreuth\/Hof, so they decided to start their own group right where they are.<\/p>\n

Eight of us got together on a balmy June evening: five (former) students of mine, a wonderful colleague who’s been in the game for quite a while, my BD\u00dc colleague in charge of the regional groups in Bavaria, Jeannette Lak\u00e9l, and myself.<\/p>\n

It was great to see all of them and especially to hear how my \u00abprot\u00e9g\u00e9s\u00bb have fared since leaving school – and they have all done really well by themselves! (Yes, I’m proud!)<\/p>\n

We all agreed that this was a great idea and definitely want to make this group work. So if anyone is interested in joining us – BD\u00dc membership is not a must -, meetings are on the third Wednesday of every month, starting at 7 pm. For now, we’ll keep meeting in \u00abDie Villa\u00bb, any changes will be announced accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
